Skullcandy MacGyver MP3 Watch with voice recorder

We first spotted the Memory Music MP3 watch from Austrian manufacturer Laks about a year-and-a-half ago, when at the time its capacities ranged from a paltry 32MB to a barely-acceptable 256MB. Now a rebranded version from Skullcandy has appeared, the maybe-mislabled MacGyver MP3 Watch (MacGyver is rocking Bluetoothed tunes from his smartphone, not tethering his ears to his wrist) that has bumped the storage up significantly, maxing out at 1GB. As usual with these devices, the MacGyver has an integrated USB cord and can act as a storage drive, but the addition of voice recording is a nice touch that you don't always see. Available in either black or silver, prices range from $170 for 256MB to $300 for the gig, although Skullcandy claims to offer a 128MB model that for some reason isn't available for purchase.

Being a fan of MacGyver, I can attest that this is an authentic replica of the watch he wore on the show - looks wise. Though, I thought it was a Voctorinox, but sure, whatever :)

Yeah, but it just doesn't have the same functionality as a Swiss Army Knife combined with a roll of ducttape.

just because Apple sold millions of iPods-does not mean nor does it constitute that anything that plays MP3 should get the same measure of response from consumers -including this dumb idea of making and mp3-player watch....

what is next, and mp3-plyer ring or necklace? umm>would not surprise me.

I own a watch that look just like this. It's 128mb and the sound is really good. I wouldn't be supprise if it is the imported version minus the namebrand. Got it as a wedding present from a friend of mine.

Can anybody here who has this watch comment on the user interface for the voice recorder? That's the feature I would find most useful in something this size.
