there's something to be said for non-ostentatious.

Good sound(in theory), low cost, lack of nautical silliness http://www.engadget.com/2007/11/01/avast-2-1-channel-thin-film-speaker-ship/

It looks a lot like the black iPod actually. The wattage sounds a bit low and I suspect that large power light is going to be unnecessarily bright, but other than that it actually looks pretty good.
