I think it's going to work. Sony could throw up a roadblock with a drive-based PSP2- but can they afford the risk? A well-crafted box for music/games/video will take the market by storm. If this Alexandria sells Music, Movies, AND GAMES- it will take ITunes Music Store's next generation of customers away. If Zune has Wi-Fi, limited file sharing, HD video out, and a DVR- it would obliterate Ipod.
Regardless, competition will serve to drive prices down, and service up. We win.
