Okay, the MobiBlu DAH-1500 is pretty small
While we're still not convinced it's the
world's smallest digital audio player, we don't doubt
that MobiBlu-DAH-1500 is pretty darn small. I4U got their hands on a JNC-branded version, and snapped some shots of it
next to Apple's iPod shuffle — which positively towers over it. Of course, the JNC unit is much thicker than
the shuffle, but it does have a display, as well as an FM radio. I4U promises a full review shortly, which we assume
will also have some more pics (though we assume they'll skip dismantling the thing, since that's
already been done).

That definitely looks like it could be the smallest in the world.
Why doesnt somebody just do the Archimedes test already...
Nice - but how usable is it? It may be far smaller in height than a shuffle but there's a lot to be said for ergonomics. Big hands and fingers might have problems with it. Wonder what the sound qulaity is like too. :)
Anybody remember that TV commercial those kids made for the Apple Flea iPod? Looks like its about to happen.
damn!
I have allready got it running (I bought the mobiblu @ http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk)
It's brilliant!! So tiny but still very usable and I was able to listen to it non stop for about 12 hours using MP3 playback and the headphones were also better then I thought (comperable with my sennheiser MX550). I would reccomend it to everyone!!!!!!!!
Man...I would love to get this, but I already have a shuffle...
I bought a gig model off of Ebay. I love this little thing. Its not hard to use really. You get used to pressing the small buttons fairly fast. I actualy cut up the earbuds that came with it so I could just have the necklace thingy that was attached to them. It works great. The sound is awsome. It is so frigin small that I actualy dont even notice that its hanging around my neck most of the time. The only down side that I'v found is.
1. Slow file transfer.
But that dosnt matter to me cause I just put a bunch of Dispatch songs onto the thing and dont plan on changing them.
and
2. There is a pause time inbetween tracks. While its not all that long, it is kinda annoying but it may be fixed in a firmware update later on.
I like my shuffle because it is thin and is invisible under my shirt. Plus it doubles as a flash drive without any extra cables.
Hello - I am from mobiBLU and we would like everyone to know that we have recently launched the DAH-1500i in the US market through our launch partner, walmart.com. The 1500i ADDS WMA DRM (digital rights managment) and USB 2.0 to the Cube MP3 Player. The DAH-1500i is the only authrorized product for the US market and the JNC product (the original DAH-1500) is being sold outside the US market. The JNC DAH-1500 DOES NOT HAVE DRM AND USB 2.0!! If you are a customer in the US please visit www.walmart.com for purchasing the DAH-1500i with the advanced features and great price! They offer the player in six different colors and in both 512MB and 1GB capacities. THANK YOU!!
Bob,
I just got mine from Walmart. :) I love it!!! I am, however, a little disappointed that it doesn't support subscription-type music such as that from Yahoo! Music Unlimited in addition to DRM'd music. Are there any plans to add support to subscription music in the future?
Thanks,
Jessica
Hi Jessica,
As you know, the 1500i currently supports WMA DRM, which provides compatability with all the major pay-per-track download sites.
We are working on providing JANUS support (required for subscription based services) in the future. I dont have any dates yet.
We are hoping that we can handle the upgrade as a firmware upgrade, but again, its too early to say, but be assured that it will be available in a cube player in the future and that we realize the importance of this feature and that we are aggressively working on it.
Bob,
Do you have a message board (besides here) where people can discuss the 1500? I didn't get one yet but I plan to in the next month or two.
Hello Jim,
We plan to set up a message board soon for the DAH-1500i. Check our website from time to time http://www.mobibluamerica.com
Well, I bet all you iPoders out there wish you didnt get the shuffle now
We did the iPod install a while back...but we got the MobiBLU DAH-1500i in the mail today. So of course we couldn't resist hooking it up to the Porsche Radio :-)
Forget about trying to control it while driving! However, we definitely didn't need a holder!!!!
